Nancy J. Green, 78, of Davenport, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 22, 2022, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a private memorial service will be held. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.
Nancy was born on July 8, 1944 in Davenport to Arnold and Fern (Lund) Liedtke. She graduated from Central High School in 1962. She was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Green on March 30, 1962 in Davenport. Nancy worked as an administrator at the Scott County Courthouse. She then worked as an Executive Secretary at Oscar Mayer for 35 years, retiring in 1999.
Nancy enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, quilting, gardening, was an avid reader and she loved going to the casino. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and most of all her beloved grandchildren. She was greatly loved by all.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Dick; children, Lisa (John) Konrad, Lori (Conan) Doyle and Jennifer (Tim) Brooks all of Davenport; seven grandchildren, Cassidy Voss, Kaylin Voss, Leanna Doyle, Justine Doyle, Keegan Doyle, Taylor Brooks and Ethan Brooks; sisters, Carol Neumann, Donna Arnold and Marcie Petty.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Greg.
