Maryann Haines

Funeral services will be held at the Runge Mortuary and Crematory on Saturday, April 27 at 12pm. A visitation will be held two hours prior to service time. She will be laid to rest at Rosehill Cemetery in Buffalo Iowa. Memorial may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.rungemortuary.com.

Maryann was born on June 5, 1948 in Centerville Iowa to Tony and Margaret Corvaia. On October 22, 1966 she was united in marriage to Larry Haines. They enjoyed 35 years of marriage until his passing in 2001. In 2007 she retired from Ralston Purina after 32 years of service.

She enjoyed attending car shows and collecting antique cars with her husband. She also enjoyed traveling, crafts, cooking, making Halloween costumes for her grandchildren, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She had a kind heart and always welcomed her kids back home. Maryann spent much of her time attending her grandchildren’s events. She attended sporting events and graduations from both academic achievements and the military.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Shelley (Steve) Hunt, Larry (Cindy) Haines Jr., Jeff (Cynthia) Haines, Amy (Michael) Paxton, Travis Haines, Melinda (CJ Hadesbeck) Nelson; grandchildren, Bobby, Ryan, Josh, Amanda, Alex, Justin, Andrew, Maggie, Austin, Katie, Pyper, Presley, Garren, Wyatt, Ryder, Maddy, Brady and 25 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Josie Christenson and her brother, Joseph “Tony” Corvaia.

Maryann is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother-in -law Harvey Christenson, and her grandson Adam Haines.
