Linda S. Caldwell, 73, of Davenport, Iowa passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at her home surrounded by her beloved family. Per her request, cremation rites have been accorded. Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 12pm at Weerts Funeral Home; visitation will be from 11am until time of service. Memorials in Linda's name may be made to King's Harvest Animal Rescue or any no kill animal rescue.
Linda was born on October 14, 1949 to Wilbur Damon and Ann Rose Gray in Keokuk, Iowa. She earned her certificate as a nursing assistant and later as a unit secretary working at Genesis Medical Center, formerly St. Luke's) for over 40 years. She was united in marriage to Robert Caldwell on October 22, 1966. Linda loved to do embroidery and was known for her crewl work. She loved to collect ceramic and she loved to watch various cooking shows. Family meant everything to Linda and her great pride and joy were her grandchildren. She never missed a violin recital or special function. Linda always took care of others and had a caregiver's heart.
Those left to honor Linda's memory are her husband of 56 years, Robert; children: Robert Caldwell, Jr., Dawn Caldwell, and Brennen Caldwell; two beloved grandchildren Cheyanne Caldwell, Ian Taylor Caldwell, and step grandchild, Alicia Long; great-grandson Kaysen Long; brother Butch Damon; along with nieces, Delores, Jenny, Jana and nephew, Jason
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Matilda Rose West and Barbara Whitfield.
