Judith "Judy" Genung

Judith “Judy” Genung, 76, of Davenport, Iowa passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Clarissa C Cook Hospice House with her beloved family by her side. A memorial service to honor her memory will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church; visitation will be before the service starting at 12:00 PM. Memorials in Judy’s name may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Judy, commonly known as “JuJu”, was born on May 18, 1948 in Davenport, Iowa to Lyle and Rose Marie Weber. She earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine from Palmer College in 1985. Judy worked as a chiropractor at Campbell Chiropractic in Wilton, Iowa and Shipman Chiropractic in Davenport until her retirement in 2017; she also worked on the side as a beautician. She was united in marriage to James Genung in 1980; he preceded her in death. JuJu was active at St. Paul Lutheran Church, loved to go for daily walks, playing cards with the card club gals, and drawing. She loved her family dearly and her homemade dinner rolls will be missed at every family holiday get together.

Those left to honor her memory are her two children Melissa Domino and Chris (Julie) Dillie; grandchildren Nicholas Queen, Shelby Clay, Benjamin Clay, Coral Dillie, Camry Dillie, Paige Gruber, Ella Gruber, and Bryn Gruber; siblings Michelle Kanzaki, Lyle (Fonda) Weber II, and Tricia (Max) Fernandez; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband James, parents, and sister DeLane Gebken.
