Joanne Bobette Clemmens

Joanne B. Clemmens, 87, of Davenport, Iowa passed away peacefully Monday, April 19, 2021, surrounded by family. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 23, 2021, at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Davenport. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. The family requests that guests wear face masks and abide by social distancing guidelines. Memorials may be made in Joanne’s name to St. John’s Methodist Church or the Myeloma Foundation.

Joanne was born May 3, 1933, in Elmhurst, Illinois to Oscar and Netha Guyer. She was united in marriage to her true love, Jerry Clemmens, on June 30, 1951, in Davenport, IA. They went on to enjoy 70 years of marriage. Joanne was a loving, loyal, and caring woman that dedicated her life to her family and supporting the community through her involvement with Girl Scouts, United Methodist Women, Linus Project, and others.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; children, Thomas (Carol) Clemmens of Newton, IA and Kimberly (John) Chant of Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Heather Wolf, Blaine Clemmens, Alisha Stoltz, Melissa Svatos, Hannah Bildstein, Stephen James Zbornik, Joel Schluensen, Jody Egolf, Joshua Egolf, Zachary Kern, Rachael DeBuysere, Joseph Kern, Stacey Gamet, and Tom Chant; great-grandchildren, Brittney Humke, Rylie Wolf, Brett Wolf, Kalen Clemmens, Olivia Engelstad, Austin Stoltz, Cody Stoltz, Wyatt Egolf, Randilynn Egolf, Rhett Egolf, Noah Kern, Camden Gayman, Kinsley DeBuysere, Kelan Gamet, and William Gamet; great-great grandchildren, Braxton Humke and Madden Humke; and brother, James (Patricia) Guyer.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughters, Kathy (Gerd) Schluensen and Paula (Tom) Egolf.
