Janice Jacqueline Foye-Baker

Janice J. Foye-Baker, 78, of Davenport, Iowa passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Funeral services to celebrate Janice’s life will be held at Weerts Funeral Home on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 1pm; visitation will begin at 12pm and go until time of service.

Janice was born February 27, 1944 to Roosevelt and Eunice Hall in Coosa, Georgia. She was united in marriage to Eugene “Gene” Baker Sr. on January 9, 1989. Janice worked as an international sales representative for Alcoa for many years. She was an active member of the Third Missionary Baptist Church in Davenport and firm believer in NAACP. She enjoyed entertaining and hosting Christmas Gala at her home, traveling, playing golf, and going to the casino.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Terrie (Kelvin) Wynn; grandchildren Kendra Wynn, Kambry (Julie) Wynn, Karis Wynn; great-granddaughter Ava J. Wynn; siblings Marcella Foster, Del Davis (Riley), and Xanthe (William) Everett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Gene Baker, brother Legrand Hall, and her parents.
