Elizabeth "Nori" Norean Crouse, 50, passed away peacefully in her home on September 21, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. Her devotion to family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Nori is the daughter of Gary Harvey, Sr. and Lynda Brubeck born March 5, 1967 in Decatur, IL. Then later moved to Davenport, IA where she there continued her life. Nori was blessed with a large, loving family. She married her lifelong best friend, Rick Lee Crouse on January 22, 1999 in Davenport, IA. where they then blended and raised four kids together. Nori was very adamant about staying home and raising her children. She guided them and taught many life lessons with patience, discipline and humor. She was also very involved with her children’s after school curricular activities. From the very beginning she dedicated her children to God and encourage them to explore an always be the best you can be. Nori was a firm believer in volunteering and giving back to her community any chance she could. She devoted most of her time to adolescents at the Boys and Girls Club where she always had time to answer questions or solve a problem, no matter how big or small. Nori was also a beloved former employee of City of Davenport. She is missed dearly by her loved ones who now celebrate the fact she’s now at peace with her creator. Nori is survived by her loving husband, Rick; daughter, Kaytlin Bacus; son, Rion Crouse; step-daughter, Stephanie Holmes; step-son, Ronnie Crouse; two siblings, Gary Harvey, Jr and Deneise Harvey; several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her sister, Valerie Harvey and father, Gary Harvey, Sr. Nori’s services will be held at the Runge Mortuary and buried at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery afterward. The family gratefully accepts prayers, condolences and memories at this time.
