Sarah "Shirley" Myers

MYERS (ERVIN), Sarah “Shirley” – of Eastern Passage died peacefully at the Dartmouth General Hospital on Saturday, Jan 13, 2018 at the age of 87. Mother of Phillip (Carolyn), Sarah (Phillip) Williams, Suzanne (David) Edwards, Andrew and Paul (Janet). Grandmother of nine and Great-grandmother of six. Born in Middle Musquodoboit, she was the daughter of Charles “Willard” and Bertha (Bell) Ervin. She was predeceased by her husband Eric Myers. She is survived by; sisters Ellen (Eric) Roberts, South Carolina and Thelma (Roy) Valentiate, Green Hill and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Charles, Samuel, Harold, Richard, Cecil and Russell; sisters Edna (Gerald) Romo, Emma (Robert) Weatherhead, Bertha (William) Mosher, Ruth (Clyde) Stanley and Barbara (William) Corcoran. Over the years Shirley enjoyed her family reunions, stitching groups, Rommoli games, bowling buddies and community breakfasts, suppers and teas. She was an accomplished seamstress; making quilts, baptism garments and many outfits for herself and her daughters. Many local bridal parties enjoyed her work. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 20, at 11am in St Andrews Roman Catholic Parish, 1570 Shore Road, Eastern Passage. Family flowers only please.
