Robert Kenneth MacKenzie

MacKenzie, Robert Kenneth, 68 of Dartmouth, NS passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Born in Halifax on May 23, 1956, he was the beloved son of Barbara and the late Kenneth MacKenzie.

Robert was educated in the Dartmouth school system and graduated from St. Mary’s University with a Commerce degree. He spent his entire career working for the city of Dartmouth and the Halifax Regional Municipality in the department of pavement management. In his spare time, Robert loved to work in his garden and was an avid golfer at Avon Valley Golf & Country Club and Brightwood Golf Club.

In addition to his mother Barbara, Robert is survived by his sister, Gina; brother, Dan; nephew, Kenneth; niece, Samantha; great niece, Mackenzie, and Aunt, Shirley Hutchinson as well as several other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth; aunts, Laura (Claude) Leighton, & Marjorie (Jack) Hare and uncle, Alan Hutchinson.

Cremation has taken place with a private burial at Christ Church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Christ Church parish hall, 61 Dundas St, Dartmouth, NS on December 28, 2024 from noon to 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to the Dartmouth General Hospital foundation or the charity of your choice.
