Bob was born July 15, 1931, in Saskatchewan to Charles and Blanch (Russell). Bob retired after a 40-year career at Canada Packers in the gelatin division. Lots of time to pursue his hobbies of woodworking, tinkering with tools, and building custom models. He thoroughly enjoyed his trips to Florida with his beloved wife Gloria and was always ready to play Bingo or cards with a group of friends or family. Bob could also be counted on to joke around with the ladies whenever the opportunity arose. His sense of humor and ability to make anyone in his presence smile and laugh will be missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife of 32 years, Gloria (Bond) who will miss him dearly, his children, Debbie (Larry), Cindy, John, Richard, James (Dale), George, Margaret (Jonathan), Catherine. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren whom he loved as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bob is pre-deceased by his parents as well as Richard (brother), Margaret and Dorothy (sisters), his first wife Bernice and his grandson Michael.
A special thanks to Dr. S Ferrahi, Paula and the Hematology department at the QEII, and Palliative Care for all the exceptional care given.
Cremation has taken place and Bob will be laid to rest at a later date. No service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society or the Hematology Department of the QEII.
