— 86, Dartmouth - passed away February 25, 2010, in Dartmouth General Hospital with her family present. Born in Dartmouth, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Winifred (Cunningham) Rumley. Nina served in the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Air Force - Women's Division. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion - Somme Branch Auxiliary. She was an avid gardener and baker. Nina had a great love for children and spent many hours babysitting. She loved time spent in Liverpool. Survived by her husband of 63 years, Ivan; sons, Ronald (Louise), Dartmouth; Brian Smith, Newport Station; daughters, Donna, Dartmouth; Lorna (Mike), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Brent and Scott; Julie, Stephanie and Ashley; and Laurenda; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; sisters, Jessie Murphy, Dartmouth and Gertie Pratt (Gerald), Dartmouth. Predeceased by son, Alan; son-in-law, Henry; brother, Jim; sisters, Laura and Alice. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St., Dartmouth. A committal service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada - Atlantic Division.
