Loving Grandmother to Michael (Nicole Alicia), Kaylyn, Peter (Kaytlyn), Jessica (Michael) Hoffmann, Nicole Andrea (Daniel Clarke).

Great Grandmother to Jaxson, Ethan and Jaidyn.

June is survived by her sisters Ethel (Gerald, deceased) Nelson of Dartmouth and Linda (Mark) Knechtel of Halifax and special friend George Elliott.

She was predeceased by her husband William Poole, her parents Maurice and Vera Conrad and travelling companion Robert Kimball.

June was an avid sewer, knitter and quilter. She made many beautiful quilts and wall hangings for her friends and family. She also loved to play bridge and garden. She enjoyed many camping trips with her daughter, Sharon and stayed physically active until her recent illness.

She belonged to the Dartmouth Horticultural Society, the DGH Auxiliary, Church of the Holy Spirit, and the Canadian Mothers’ Union. She was one of a group of friends who got together weekly for over 50 years.

June was a caring mother, a loving sister, a good friend and a happy traveler.

Visitation will take place at A.L Mattatall’s Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth on Monday, July 18th from 6 – 8 pm.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 1 Regency Drive, Dartmouth, NS on Tuesday, July 19th at 1pm. Rev. Shirley Carras officiating and Rev. Canon David Greenwood assisting.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Church of the Holy Spirit or a charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated.
