Myers, Judith Ann - 59, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully June 26, 2010, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Judy was the daughter of the late Howard and Noreen (Gosbee) MacInnis. For 40 years, Judy lived with Multiple Sclerosis. A graduate of Dalhousie University, Judy worked for several years before her illness forced her to stop. As a homemaker she loved to cook, entertain, and look after her family. She was a favorite second mom to many of her children's friends. Despite her struggles, Judy never complained about anything. She had that rare ability to make everyone around her feel better. She loved to shop and took great care to pick out the most special gifts for everyone. Her kind, gentle manner and beautiful spirit will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Leigh; son, Trevor; daughter Jody (Ryan) Huestis; sister, Donna (Lloyd) MacDougall; special in-laws, Dawn and Larry Mason; along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased only recently by her mother-in-law, Ruth Myers, with whom she had a special bond. Visitation from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Thursday, July 1 with a memorial service at 11am on Friday, July 2, all in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth with Rev. Trevor Lightfoot officiating. Cremation has taken place. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Halifax. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in Judy's memory to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
