Son of Alexander MacLean and Leila MacLean, born in Sydney, Cape Breton, he passed away on December 9, 2015. He is survived by daughter Jane Makin- MacLean, brother Ernie MacLean, and sister Lois Ross. He was predeceased by much loved sister Sylvia. He worked at Sagittarius Security and Halifax ship yard. Johnny was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors whether he was in his boat or tramping through the woods of Cape Breton. His stories are legendary among his valued friends in the Cape Breton Canoe and Geographic Society and his friends of Timmys on Portland. It was a pleasure to be in his company. He was always willing to help anyone, no matter the circumstances. His presence will be sadly missed. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 14th at 4pm in A. L.
