HENNIGAR, John Alexander – 55, of Dartmouth. Passed away on August 18, 2021 in the Q E II Infirmary Site. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late David and Elizabeth (Merlin) Hennigar. John was a participant in the Special Olympics Program. He enjoyed sports of all types, his favourite teams were the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. His favourite player was Wayne Gretzky and he enjoyed watching Wrestling as well. He would often call the Rick Howe talk show 95.7fm to express his views. He enjoyed bowling, dances with Barb and Elvis Presley Music. John’s favourite animals were cats and he will be missed by Princess. John and Bard would walk for hours around the City. He is survived by his wife the love of his life Barbara Corbin, his siblings, Suzzann Hennigar, Stephen (Sylvia), Diane Kennedy, Wanda-Lee (Clemmie) Simmons, many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents, nephew, Timothy Walsh. Due to COVID restrictions, we will have a visitation from 2-4pm on Thursday, August 26, the limit is 50 people. Memorial service at 11am on Friday, August 27, both in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home by family invitation only. Deacon Gordon MacKinnon officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
