Hugh Michael Walker

Hugh was employed by the NSLC at various locations until his retirement.

Raised in Sackville, Hugh had a love of horses and competed at equestrian events in his early years. His love of all animals and his compassion for them continued throughout his life.

Hugh's other passion was his family, especially his parents. Hugh assisted in his father's care during his later years which allowed him to remain in his home until his death. He then remained with his mother until 2015 to keep her company. Most recently he lived in Dartmouth.

Hugh is survived by his mother Mary Walker, brothers Sam Walker (Theresa) of Bedford and David Walker (Lesslie) of Sackville, sister Joanne Walker (Sam Headayati) of Hammonds Plains, nephew Michael Walker (Natasha) of Sackville, niece Ashley LeBlanc (James) of Lucasville, great nephews Grayson Walker and Coleton Walker and great nieces Oliveah Walker and Everly LeBlanc.

Visitation will be held at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home (217 Portland St., Dartmouth) on Friday, October 28th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
