She was born in the Bronx, N. Y. on June 26, 1931 to the late Mario R. Ferlazzo and Frances (Palamadessi) Ferlazzo.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Romeo of 65 years, her children, Joanne Perrault and Frances Carlson of New Fairfield, CT, Anthony Morelli of Monroe, Ct, Ronald Morelli of Sherman, Ct. and 2 special daughter in laws, Sylvia Morelli and Bonnie Davin. She will lovingly be remembered by her grandchildren, Tim, Mike, Nick, Dennis, Matt and Melissa. As well as her great-grandchildren Brian, Mia, Ally, Marissa, Nathan, Shea, Kate and Bob. She is survived by her sister Lucy Wilson of Red Hook, N.Y. and predeceased by one brother, Dr. Roy Ferlazzo and a sister, Mary Descisciolo. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Theresa was a loving and thoughtful wife, mother, grandparent and friend. After raising her 4 children, she worked for J.C. Penney for 15 years and then retired to enjoy her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She took pleasure in the needle arts and was an avid knitter and crocheter. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, cooking, gardening and listening to the opera. But her greatest joy was caring for her home, family and making all feel welcome.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, New Fairfield.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014 from 5pm to 9pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
