A Danbury native, Rosie led a lifelong career at Boehringer Ingelheim; providing over 40 years of service and friendship.
She was at her happiest with friends and family and experienced great joy with her first and only grandchild, Jack. She forever cherished the memories of travel and adventure with her late partner, Darren.
Rosie unfailingly brought laughter to those of us lucky enough to call her a friend with her most memorable smile and quick sense of humor.
Rosemary was predeceased by her partner, Darren Stevens; her father, James Durkin; and her sister, Cathy Taylor.
She is survived by her mother, Jeanne Durkin of Danbury; her son, Kyle and his wife, Kate Manacek, of Stoneham, MA and her grandson, Jack; her sisters, Jeanne and Robert Sweeney of Danbury, and Maureen and Larry Gardner of Ridgewood, NJ; as well as several nieces, nephews, and her grand-niece and grand-nephews who loved her dearly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at St. Peter Church, Danbury with the Rev. Gregg Mecca, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
