Rita Ann Stock Stock Doran

Rita Ann Stock Doran, 86, of Germantown Rd., Danbury, died Wednesday evening at Ridgefield Crossing in Ridgefield. She was the wife of the late Richard E. Doran. Mrs. Doran was born in Danbury on March 21, 1925, a daughter of the late Arthur W. and Irene Walsh Stock. She was a 1942 graduate of Danbury High School and attended the Crandall Secretarial School in Danbury. Mrs. Doran was a former employee with the John P. Previdi Co. in Danbury, before joining CL & P as a customer service representative. A lifelong Danbury resident, she was an accomplished musician, playing the violin at many wedding and funerals for area churches. Mrs. Doran was a violinist for the Danbury Symphony Orchestra for over 50 years. Besides her husband, who died in 2004, she was predeceased by a daughter, Irene Doran Short.

Survivors include many Stock cousins. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday at 10am at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday morning after 9am.
