Lloyd Edward George Foster, eldest son, brother, husband, and father died on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at the age of 59 after a valiant fight. Lloyd was born in Cleveland, OH. He grew up in Boulder, CO and moved East as an adult and has been a resident of Danbury Connecticut for the past thirty years.
Lloyd took extreme pride in his son, Joshua, a genuinely talented musician, who he gushed about given any opportunity. He loved his mom, Eileen Maude Foster, whom he considered the strongest woman on earth for raising five children completely on her own and for never giving up. His wife of 20 years, Tina, was his true love, and he was acutely aware each and every day how incredibly lucky he was to have her in his life. He leaves behind four siblings; his three brothers, Robert, Ronald, and Michael Foster. His sister: Laura Grace, who, while they often found him exasperating, are devastated by his loss and will find life on this earth a little duller without his quick wit, sharp tongue, and impassioned opinions. We hope that he knows that we all appreciate and are grateful that he always tried to be the best big brother that he could to four siblings who were exceedingly reluctant to accept his guidance. He is also survived by his stepdaughter Micha McDaniel of Las Vegas, NV and her family, his stepson, Sergeant Shawn McDaniel, US Army of Wahiawa, HI and his family, numerous nephews and nieces and extended family members, and of course, kitty.
His larger-than-life persona will not be forgotten. He was a warrior to the end and left this earth surrounded by those who loved him. Lloyd, we love you and will hold your memories close to our hearts forever.
Friends will be received on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 from 6pm – 8pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
Contributions in Lloyd’s memory may be made to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America, 450 E. John Carpenter Fwy., Suite 100, Irving, TX 75062 or go to www.bbbs.org.
