Jane was born in New Haven, CT to the late Byron Franklin Blakeslee and the late Lillian Romberg Blakeslee on November 9, 1952. She is a proud graduate of North Haven High School and the University of CT.
On May 17, 1980, she married Daniel A. MacRae in New Haven, CT. After marriage, Daniel and Jane moved to Concord, MA. In 1995, Jane, Daniel and their three children settled in Brookfield, CT. They were married for 43 beautiful years.
Jane worked as a Medical Technologist for Diagnostic Medical. Jane was a loving mother and “Grammy”. She was a member of Brookfield Congregational Church. In 2005, Jane had a living donor liver transplant thanks to her devoted sister. The gift of these 18 years allowed for world travels, love, and laughter.
Jane is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Alexander MacRae; daughter, Heather Kathryn MacRae Clifford and husband, Ryan James Clifford of Brookfield, CT; son, Alexander Daniel MacRae of Cambridge, MA; and son, Glenn Duncan MacRae and wife, Hannah Schuster of Louisville, KY; grandson, Taylor Robert Clifford; granddaughters: Lillian Jane Clifford and Anna Michele Clifford; and her sister,Cynthia Blakeslee Florindo of Rochester, MA.
The family of Jane wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Robert S. Brown, head of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Hospital and his dedicated team of specialists, to Dr. David Barenberg, Gastroenterologist Nuvance Health (Danbury, CT), and to her sister, Cynthia Florindo.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Congregational Church of Brookfield,160 Whisconier Road Brookfield, CT 06804. Following the service, a reception will be held in the church Fellowship Hall.
