Carl leaves behind his wife Patricia (Nazzaro) Geib; his three daughters: Susan Pollock, wife of William Pollock; Karin Saresky, widow of Michael Saresky; Patricia Hernandez, wife of Bill Hernandez; his grandson Alex Hernandez; and his niece Allison Geib-Stedman.
Born on August 16, 1939 in Stamford, CT., the son of Percival and Lillian Geib, middle brother to Robert and Richard; predeceased.
Carl graduated from Stamford, CT., High School, Class of 1957, where his love of football began as manager of their football team. He enjoyed Sunday games. His favorite team was the Washington Redskins. Carl also liked watching the New England Patriots with his daughter, Karin, and son-in-law, William.
In his mid-twenties, Carl was employed as a security guard for St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he met his soon to be bride, a young pretty nurse, Patricia.
Carl and Pat were married in 1968 at Assumption Church in Westport, CT. They made a home in Danbury, CT and started their family.
While raising the family, he became involved with the Boys Scouts of America, where he held the position of Scout Master. Skills he learned as a young boy in the Boy Scouts, carried over into his adult life.
Carl had a passion for music from Cash, to Elvis, to Fats Domino. That love of music led Carl to join the Danbury Drum Corp in 1976. Invited by his friend Jimmy Swift, the second love of Carl’s life began; parades. He was a proud member of the Drum Corp for 45 years, where he learned to play the fife by ear. He marched in numerous street parades including Disney World, Hershey Park and Lake Placid. He truly enjoyed his time with the Danbury Drum Corp.
Carl spent 30 years employed with the State of Connecticut, DOT, happily handing out maps and travel advice to many tourists at the Exit 2 Welcome Center, where his gift of gab served him well!
Upon retirement, Carl and Pat then moved to the city of lights, Las Vegas, Nevada in 1999.
Carl adapted quickly to Vegas, spending time in front of nickel slot machines in the casinos, also dining out and hanging pool side. He became a bit of a travel bug as well, enjoying cruises with his wife to Alaska and Hawaii.
He maintained friendships with grammar/high school classmates through the course of his life, including his Drum Corp family. He cherished them all.
May he rest in Paradise, knowing he was loved. His life was full and blessed.
