Anne Margaret Traynor (nee Kenehan) passed away on October 21, 2023 at the age of 91. Anne was born October 16, 1932 to Nora Kenehan and raised by her maternal aunt and her husband, Mabel and David Lawler.
Anne lived in several locations throughout PA, NY and NJ and graduated from Pope Pius XII high school in Passaic, NJ. Her coursework in business enabled her to pursue a lifetime career in bookkeeping. In 1954 Anne moved to CT, continued her bookkeeping career for several organizations including the Barden Corporation, Danbury Hospital, Fulton Company and finally retired from employment with the Town of New Milford in 1997.
In 1957 she married Joseph Traynor and has 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Aside from working full time while raising a family, Anne was particularly active with the Catholic Church. She was a gifted soprano at St Edward Parish, as well as a volunteer with Stephen Ministries and Prayer Shawl at Sacred Heart, Southbury. For several years, she contributed her time to the Safe Haven Thrift Shop in Southbury, as well as to other charitable social services.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Traynor; son, Frank Traynor of Albany, NY; son and Daughter in law, Michael and Kim Traynor of New Fairfield, their children: Michael, Kristen and Kevin; daughter and son in law, Donna and Jeff Tomascak of Newtown, their children and spouses: daughter, Katie Tomascak; son and daughter in law, Christopher and Brittany Tomascak; son and daughter in law, Daniel and Andrea Tomascak. Also great grandchildren: Theodore and Layla. She is also survived by her sister, Rita (nee Brady) Mancuso; and brother, David Lawler, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Anne is predeceased by parents, Nora (Kenehan) Brady, Mabel Lawler, David Lawler; brothers: James Brady and William Brady; sister, Alice (Lawler) Perri; brother-in-law, David Perri; nephew, Roger Perri and nephew, Michael Mancuso.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023 at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury, CT.
Friends will have the opportunity to pay their respects to the family from 10:00am until the time of the service at the church.
