A Rosary will be said at 9:30am followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 am on Friday, July 6 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Coppell, Msgr. Henry Petter officiating. Internment of ashes will follow at Calvary Hill.
Bill, known by many friends as Tom, was born in Dallas, Texas, to Walter Scott Thompson, Jr. and Elizabeth Joy Sterrett Thompson on January 14, 1950. He graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School and worked on a degree in Engineering at UT Arlington. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Army. He worked as a Senior Customer Service Engineer for Xerox for 38 years. He lavished his love on a succession of boxers which he bred and raised over the years. He was an avid reader of science fiction but was a storehouse of information of all kinds. He always dabbled in painting and was an amateur gun smith as well.
(Bill) is preceded in death by his brother Walter Scott Thompson, III, his parents, and his grandparents.
Bill is survived by his five siblings: Joy Parsons, Gini Gehrkin, Pat Thompson, Tom Thompson, and Norma Rodgers as well as by numerous nephews, nieces, and grand-nephews and nieces.
