William “Bill” Edward Hall, age 98, passed away on March 8, 2023 in Round Rock, Texas. He was born on May 1st, 1924 in Sunderland, England to Ernest Thomas Hall and Isabella Houston. His family immigrated to Dallas, Texas in 1926 where he was raised and lived most of his life. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School, but left early to enlist in the Army as the United Stated entered WWII. He served as a sergeant in the 10th Mountain Division from 1943-1945.
After leaving service, he worked for AT&T/Southwestern Bell as a telephone lineman for 35 years at which point he retired. Not satisfied with retired life, he started a cattle ranch in Brownsboro, Texas where he built a house for he and his wife that served as their home for over 40 years. His family and friends will always remember him as an amazing man who led a long and eventful life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, all 6 of his siblings, 2 sons, and his wife Alice Gianneschi Hall.
He is survived by his son James Michael Harrelson, his grand-daughters Diana Dawn Hubbard and Leia Marie Harrelson, and his great grandchildren including twins Robert Victor Hubbard and William Edward Hubbard (named after him) and Lorelei Maeve Hubbard.
In life Bill was awarded 5 Bronze stars for his accomplishments during WWII and he was recognized as a Master Mason with the Grand Lodge of Texas.
