Bill was a retired veteran of the United States Army with 22 years of service. He was stationed in Germany for 14 years, and also served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After his retirement from the U.S. Army, Bill began a second career with the U.S. Post Office, where he worked until his retirement after 20 years.
After his retirement, Bill enjoyed his love of gardening and reading.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Henry Brumley, and his mother, Beatrice Morgan Brumley; and his brother, Jerry Brumley.
Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years, Dolores Brumley; son, Chris A. Brumley in Aachen, Germany; step-children, Debra Tate, Pam Nowell, Jeff Cherry, and Chris Fessenden; and numerous step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Grove Hill Funeral Home, and will be followed by Military Funeral Honors and burial at the Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
