Tracy Wynn Caruth, born November 8th, 1962, in Hialeah, Florida, passed away August 29, 2013, in Lone Oak, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father, James W. Schnupp. She is survived by her husband Robert M. Caruth of 21 years, and her mother Leda Schnupp, sisters, Deborah Nevin and Gretchen Schnupp, Nieces, Raiha Bailey and Courtney Bailey, Nephew’s Jonathan Bailey and Joseph Vanstraelen along with her five cousins.
Tracy was a highly accomplished horse breeder, holding Arabian and Half Arabian breeder of the year for several years running. Her passion was breeding and showing horses which she did for over 30 years. She held Championships in every division of the show arena from The US to Canada. Her philanthropic spirit has touch countless people and her legacy will live on.
Tracy was well known for her giving of time and efforts to help others and earned the title of "Princess of Philanthropy” for her work with the Black Stallion Literacy Program. Any youth program that needed help knew that she would be there anytime. Her efforts for a Dallas Horse Park are well known but also her work with the Dallas Police Mounted Unit will be her legacy.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 2nd, 2013, at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday September 3rd at Sparkman-Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pall bearers will be the Dallas Police Mounted Unit.
