Like his father before him, Ted also enlisted in the United States Navy as soon as he turned age 18. Ted was assigned to the Airborne Early Warning (AEW) Squadron Eleven based at Naval Station Argentia, Newfoundland. Ted flew signals intelligence missions as an advanced radar technician over the Atlantic Ocean. His aircraft was the Lockheed WV-2 also known as the EC-121 Warning Star. He served in the United States Navy 1960 until 1966, looking for Soviet threats from long range bombers and submarines, during a period known as the “Cold War” years.
Ted worked for New York Telephone Company and then to work for US WEST in Colorado. He then joined Ericsson for several years in network engineering. From the 1990s until 2010s, he specialized in Information Technology business continuity and disaster recovery helping companies improve their resiliency. Ted really enjoying hunting, fishing, and woodworking as hobbies.
Ted was a man of true integrity, physical courage, endless charisma, and a very devoted family man.
He is survived by his wife, Ileana Rodriguez Salzer;
His two daughters Trista Marie Bogacz- Anthony James Baldi René Elizabeth West- Nicole
His grandchildren Alyssa Louise Baldi, Marie Braodley, Trevor Theodore Braodley, and his great grandkids Olivia Elizabeth Skofield, Giovanna Sophia Valenzuela, and Rocco Anthony Valenzuela.
