Suzanne Marie Bunger

Suzanne Marie Bunger, 82, left this earthly home on November 17, 2022 in McKinney, Texas. She was born September 02, 1940 in Dallas, Texas to Curtis and Ruth Frith. Suzanne was raised in Dallas attending and graduating Woodrow Wilson High School in 1958. She had three wonderful sons and daughter in-laws, and four amazing granddaughters. She worked for Mesquite ISD in the cafeteria while her sons were young, and then worked as a case clerk at the Dallas County Courthouse for more than thirty years before retiring. She was an extremely hard worker, always getting to work early and cranking out cases; to the envy of her peers and pleasure of her superiors.

In her spare time she enjoyed raising her many dogs that she rescued and gave forever homes to through the years. She liked reading dramatic novels as well as watching movies, and was also an avid walker. She loved the family trips to the beach, Arkansas, taking a cruise, and other special places with her family. Suzanne loved all things New Orleans having visited many times, where she attended the New Orleans Jazz Festivals, but her favorite thing about NOLA was Fats Domino, where she even told him she loved him at a concert and he almost fell off his piano throne. She always opened her house up for the countless house shaking and picture rattling band practices (to keep her sons off the streets). She always supported her sons in both their education and career goals, even attending her son's band performances, attending all of her son's high school and college graduations, and traveling hours to her oldest son's football games as Defensive Coordinator in Kerens. However, her true love was time with her family especially her grandchildren watching them grow and learn, and attending as many sporting events and dance recitals as often as she could. The holidays meant a lot to her as it was an opportunity to be around her family, dressing up for Halloween for her granddaughters, Easter egg hunting, family Thanksgiving dinner having all of her family there, and especially Christmas showering her family with love in her own special way.

Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents; Curtis and Ruth Frith. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert Bunger, Jr., David Bunger and wife Karen, Michael Bunger and wife Nicole; granddaughters, Emma Bunger, Ruby Bunger, Abigail Bunger, Eleanor Bunger; along with countless others.

A visitation for Suzanne will be held Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A funeral service will occur Monday, November 28, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A committal service will occur Monday, November 28, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
