Scott grew up mainly in Ann Arbor Michigan, but spent time traveling throughout Europe with his father, who was an entrepreneur and pilot. He grew up Catholic. As a child he was very adventurous, and active in the Boy Scouts. He graduated High School and entered college where he graduated from Michigan State University. Upon graduation he entered a career in Aviation Insurance, as an Aviation Insurance Underwriter. He enjoyed his career choice for 35+ before his untimely passing.
Scott was a member of Michigan State University's College of Agricultural and Natural Resource Alumni Association (CANRAA). He even served on their Alumni Board.
Scott loved to travel to new places, but especially loved traveling to Santa Fe, New Mexico. He enjoyed camping, hiking, snow-skiing, golf, being outside, and walking his Labrador, Bo. He loved Oktoberfest and celebrated in Addison, Texas at their annual Festival.
Scott's favorites were the television show Big Bang Theory, movies Megamind and Disney's Hercules, and bands Journey, REO Speedwagon, Spin Doctors, and the Allman Brothers Band. He also loved Sci-Fi movies like Arrival and The Martian. Classic Rock was often what was playing on his radio.
Scott's family and friends will remember his adventurous nature, his generous disposition, and dedication to his family. He was always willing to help others. He was not only dedicated to his family, but also his friends and work. He had a great sense of humor and was always making others smile and laugh. A favorite "Scottism," was, "Let go, let God."

Scott is survived by; sons Mark Carroll, Robert Carroll, and Michael Carroll; daughters Sarah Carroll and Jennifer Carroll; Fur-babies Bo Carroll and Bella Carroll; half-brother Douglas Carroll, half-sister Diana Carroll and sister-in-law Wendy Carroll
A Celebration of Life for Scott Emerson Carroll will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with reception following 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home 8011 Frankford Road Dallas, Texas
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Scott's memory may be made to American Heart Association
