Born the youngest of 10 children in Idaho Falls, Idaho, she was a Dallas resident for over 50 years. A loyal Cowboys fan, she loved to sing (every verse of every song she ever heard), dance, bowl and laugh. She worked for many years as an insurance adjuster, and served her company and clients with compassion. She always said the most important thing in life is family.
Ruth is preceded in death by many loved ones including her first child John Michael. She is survived by her children Christine Kozak Coleman, Joseph Kozak, Carol Kozak Hawk, and Steven Kozak and his wife Kim, her grandchildren Jerry, Jennifer, Amy, Matthew, Angela, Joseph, Daniel, Elijah, and Gabrielle, and her great grandchildren Madison, Jillian, Brandon, Jackson, Ethan, Abagail, Miles, and Charlotte, and her beloved sister, June Nelson Royter. She also is survived by her step-daughter Betty Lou Townsley and her family.
Services will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home in Dallas. The viewing will be held Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00PM. The funeral services will be Monday at 1:00PM in the Chapel. Interment Calvary Hill Cemetery.
