Our Beloved Ruben (Cowboy) Corona entered the kingdom of our Heavenly Father on October 10, 2021 at the age of 68, in Frisco TX. Ruben was born on July 27, 1953 to Lorenzo Corona and Eulalia Herrera in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
A long-time resident of Frisco, TX, his passion in life was working and handling horses. He worked at the Phillip’s Ranch, as a stallion manager from 1978 to 1993 and also worked at the Brinkmann Ranch from 1993 to 2015. Ruben’s proudest moments were having the Honor and Privilege of caring for the best quarter horses in the horse industry. In his spare time he loved making leather knife sheaths, for his huge knife collection.
Ruben will be fondly remembered for his famous phrases “I’ve broken a lot of horses in my life time, but this mule (cancer) won’t buck me off” and “Cowboy up”.
Preceded in death by his parents Lorenzo Corona and Eulialia Herrera, brothers Rafael and Efrin Corona, sisters Gloria and Graciela Corona. Ruben is survived by the love of his life, his wife Ofelia L Corona; son’s Ruben Jaime and Robert Corona, of Frisco, TX; grandchildren Alissia, Aiden Corona, Elijah Rodriguez, Lyzette and Jayden Corona; brothers - Victor, Jamie and Manuel Corona; sisters - Alicia, Rosalinda, Angelica and Alma Corona.
