Rosemary "Marie" Anna Moore

Rosemary “Marie” Anna Moore passed away at the young age of 73 on May 10, 2022, in Dallas, TX. She was born in Lowell, MA on March 15, 1949, to Joseph and Helen Ferraro. On August 14, 1976, she married the love of her life, Ronald Moore, in Arlington, TX.

Marie had a passion for education and knowledge. She got her BBA Finance & Accounting degree from UT Arlington and her MBA from UT Dallas, both summa cum laude. She became certified in Mergers & Acquisitions from Northwestern University’s Kellogg GSM. She achieved the Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM®) designation from Columbia University in NY.

Marie had a highly motivated work ethic, dedicating nine years to Texas Instruments, where she established the first M&A department before deciding to make a career change for her family. She began her 33-year career in the financial services industry as a Financial Advisor at Shearson Lehman Hutton in 1989. She never moved firms, although the name changed many times, until 2020 when she moved to Rockefeller Capital Management where she worked until her passing. Marie was highly distinguished in the industry and appeared for many years on the top advisor lists of Forbes, Barron’s, and Financial Times. When Marie spoke, people stopped and listened.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Moore of Red Oak, TX; son, Shawn Moore and wife Nicole of Erie, CO; sisters, Mary and husband George Baron of Roanoke, VA; Joanne and husband Keith Forbis of Beverly Hills, FL; and Terry Ferraro of Lowell, MA; brother, Joe and wife Chris Ferraro of Litchfield, NH; and two grandsons, Jonah and Gabriel.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas, and her beloved father and mother, Joseph and Helen Ferraro.

A visitation will be held from 3-7pm Friday, June 24, at Sparkman/Hillcrest, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX, 75225. The Celebration of her Life will begin at 10am, Saturday, June 25, also at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home.
