Roosevelt Hogan Sr.

Roosevelt Hogan, Sr. was born June 29, 1937 in Grand Cane, Louisiana to the parentage of the late Gentle and Annie Lane Hogan. Roosevelt was baptized at Cedar Hill Baptist Church at an early age. He also completed school at a very young age. He later married Annie Lois Henderson in 1958. Their marriage bond remained for 50 years. He retired from the City of Dallas after serving for over thirty years. He was a true Dallas Cowboy fan. He also enjoyed watching Baseball, Wrestling, and Family Feud.

He is preceded in death by his parents Gentle and Annie Lane Hogan, wife Annie Lois Hogan, seven brothers: J.D. Hogan, Bertis Mckinney, Gentle Hogan, Jr., George Hogan, Leroy Hogan, Clinton Hogan, Willmon Hogan and two sisters: Bessie Pea and Myrtle Brown. Along with Sister- in- Law, Wanda and Brother- in- Laws: Louis, Henry, Artis, and Milton.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Roosevelt Hogan, Jr. (Linda), and daughters: Cathy Henderson, Delores Adkins Polk (Clearthur), Louvada Jones of Dallas, TX. Two brothers: Luranza Hogan (Carrie) and John Hogan of Houston, TX. Four sisters: Clotiel Pea (Mansfield, LA), Ola Hogan Shepherd (Rocky Mt, NC), Elizabeth Hudson (Kingston, LA) and Mary Polk (Desoto, TX). Grandchildren: Jeron Henderson (Houston), Roosevelt Hogan, III (Desoto, TX) Jason Henderson (LaShonda) (Desoto, TX), Marquis Hogan (LaQuita) (Denton), JeVada, Jasmine and Jeremy Jones (Dallas, TX), eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished relatives and friends.
