Ronald Eugene Holub was born January 6th, 1950 in Dallas, Texas to William Edward Holub and Edith Petter Holub. He grew up in Pleasant Grove and attended St. Philip the Apostle Catholic School, John B. Hood Middle School and W. W. Samuell High School graduating in 1968 as Class Salutatorian. He attended The University of Texas and received his Liberal Arts Degree in 1972. He was a member of the Honors Program and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He attended The UT Law School and received his Juris Doctor in May 1975.
On August 7, 1976 he was united in marriage to Merlene Harrison. In 1983 they welcomed their daughter Rebecca.
Ron began his law career with the Firm of Newman Shook & Newman and remained with the firm until 1984. He opened his solo practice and continued his practice until his retirement in September 2019.
He is survived by his wife, Merlene, daughter Rebecca (Scott Moehl), grandson Jacob Moehl and his three brothers Daniel, Gerald (Pamela) and William, Jr. (Karen). He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 28th at noon at Sparkman Crane Funeral Home.
