

Regina (Reggie) Lisle Austin was born in Butler, Mo. She was the daughter of Nelle Walton Lisle and Harris H. Lisle. She was the widow of Paul F. Austin, Sr. who preceded her in death October 28, 1999. Paul and Reggie enjoyed 54 years of wedded life. They were a devoted couple. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers Judge Henry L. Lisle and Robert W. Lisle.
Reggie graduated from Butler, Mo. High School, attended Huff’s Business College on The Plaza, Kansas City, Mo. where she was a member of The Alpha Iota Sorority; she also attended Hillsborough Jr. College, Tampa, FL. Reggie was a member of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League, The Colonial Dames of America, Chapter XXI, The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, “Aware” Alzheimer’s Assoc., Daughter of The Republic of Texas, Prudence Alexander Chapter DAR, and Mary K. Craig Class. Reggie was past President of the Florida West Coast Gulf Symphony League in Tampa, FL. For 10 years she was Chairman of Access Dallas Symphony a program for the blind and visually impaired. This was most important to her as she enjoyed helping others all her life.
Reggie loved to travel and had been too many countries in Europe and The Far East. She was proud of her 25 trips to London – one of her favorite places. She loved her children Nancy, Paul, and Phil Austin. She adored her grandchildren Sarah, Rachel, April, Quinn, and Lauren Austin. She adored her great granddaughters Ashlyn, Jacqueline, Haven, and Paige.
She is also survived by her daughter Nancy E. Briggs and husband Lamar A. Briggs in Palm Beach, Fl., son Paul F. Austin, Jr. in Irving, Tx., son Philip Walton Austin and wife Michele C. Austin in Arlington, Tx., Nieces Barbara Austin Kappa and husband David Kappa, Santa Barbara, Ca., Amy Lisle Albrecht and husband Fred Albrecht in Dallas, Tx., Nephew Tom Lisle and wife Jan Lisle in Colleyville, Tx., Nephew William Lisle and wife Mary Lisle in Lamar, Mo., and Niece Susan Lisle Hobbs in Omaha, NE.
