Ramona, affectionately known to friends and family alike as “Moe”, was a military child as her father served in the US Army as a Captain. She lived in Japan briefly, and several states in America before attending the Loretto Academy in El Paso, Texas, a Catholic school. Ramona later converted to High Episcopalian.
Ramona attended Baylor University Hospital as a student of Radiological Techniques and is on the American Registry of X-Ray Technicians. She completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Southwest Texas, and her Master of Science in Vocational Education at Texas A&M Commerce.
Ramona bore two children from her first marriage to Mr. Vernon Puckett, then met Mr. Aubrey Bread, whom she married and had one more child. Moe and “Aub” only allowed death to separate them, and they were happiest when they were together and enjoying a bottle of chardonnay.
Moe was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Melvin Miller, her dear husband Aub, and her first child, Rebecca “Becky” Puckett.
She is survived by her children Ann Puckett Graves and Julie Bread Cornelius, her grandchildren Joshua Graves, Jessica Blair, and Barrett Cornelius, her great-grandchild, Liam Littrel, and her niece Lynn Kim and nephew James Miller.
Moe loved being a mother and her career as an X-Ray Technician. She also enjoyed her career as an educator with the Dallas Independent School District and the Dallas County Community Colleges. She was proud of her membership in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Moe loved reading and was a humble soul. She enjoyed watching the triumphs and tribulations of her children, grandchildren, and her Liam. She had a wry wit, and always spoke her mind, good, bad, or indifferent. She was always available to her friends, family, and others. She was approachable, sincere, and loved to help people.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.laurellanddallas.com for the Bread family.
