Michael "Mike" John Conway, 84, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on January 20, 2019. Mike was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 8, 1935 and relished in the fact that he shared a birthday with the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. He graduated from the University of Minnesota.
He was a faithful member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Dallas, the Dallas Elks Lodge 71, and was a member of the 4th Order Knights of Columbus, Dallas Council 799.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of more than 61 years, Arlene Conway; four children, Steven, Scott, Timothy, and Tara; sister, Kathy Geiger of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Michael Conway, Melissa Cox, Nicholas Conway, and Logan Conway; and three great-grandchildren, Lydia Cox, Jenna Jayroe, and Gwenyth Conway.
MIke ran a successful business for over 40 years. He loved and was involved with sports, from coaching children’s baseball to playing Softball. He found his true enjoyment playing golf as he loved to walk. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren in their own sports and activities and loved cheering them on, at the sidelines. His TV consisted of any sports and he was always looking for an episode of Mash.
He would never pass up an opportunity for a cruise and loved traveling. Family and people were his greatest joy. He loved his many and was always making new ones.
He will be missed.
