Our Michael was unexpectedly taken from us on August 13, 2022. Michael Jackson was 41 and was one of three siblings. Michael Jackson was born on June 19, 1981, to Colleen Olson and James Jackson in Dos Palos, California. Michael was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Ruth Revilla Olson and Howard Leslie Olson, paternal grandparent Velta Jackson, step-brother Sigrid Dixon. Michael is survived by his wife Wendy Jackson, mother Colleen Jackson, step-father James Dixon, mother-in-law Esther Alfaro, sister Wendi Fracasso and her husband Chris Fracasso, brother David Evans and his wife Annette Evans, sister-in-law Jessica Alfaro, step-Brother Vartan Dixon.
From the moment Michael was born, we knew he was destined for great things - and he did not disappoint. His early years in his hometown, Seattle, were filled with playing and excelling in every sport ,where he learned many life lessons about teamwork and dedication to something bigger than himself. He was raised by a strong, proud mother who prepared him to overcome any setbacks or challenges that might come his way; instilling his optimistic and determined character early in life. After graduating from college, he worked his way up the corporate ladder at AT&T, earning more responsibility and bringing others along with him every step of the way with his support and mentorship.
A leader and visionary until the very end, Michael was sure to leave a lifetime's worth of knowledge in the form of the employees he mentored, coached and uplifted. Michael thrived on the discussion of ideas both as an individual and as a professional, enthralled with his chosen career path in technology. Known affectionately by many of his peers as "MJ", Michael spent much of his time dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and the assistance of others who were in that same pursuit. He influenced the lives of so many and was loved and adored by countless people whose lives he touched. The impact he made on so many people all over show his great success. Michael's intelligence and determination guided him to excel in everything he did. There was nothing he could not do or figure out. Nothing was too difficult for him. He was a leader, mentor to many and a friend to everyone he met.
His engaging personality helped him instantly connect with others locally and all over the country. Michael always had an infectious smile on his face and liked to share his witty sense of humor. He was full of laughter that was truly contagious. He was a supporter of all his friends, family, peers and especially of his wife, Wendy. He truly wanted to know other people and see them succeed. Michael's warm and genuine nature showed through in his kind gestures big and small in the way he always put others before himself. Michael was a guy's guy, but also a gentleman and mama's boy. His work ethic kept him busy with his job. He was so hardworking and trustworthy that he was a role model to all.
Michael was a huge Seattle Seahawks fan and also played many sports. His competitive nature made him an ideal opponent in sports and games. Michael spent his free time with his wife listening to music, working out, reading and researching his passions: technology and innovation. He always dreamed big, but never stopped having overwhelming gratitude for the many blessings in his life. Michael and his wife, Wendy shared a profound loved for each other and spent eleven years together, married for six years. Michael was passionate, generous, deeply thoughtful and will be lovingly remembered by his wife, family and friends.
