Michael Alan Burton

Michael was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on March 5th, 1955.

Michael married Elizabeth Cecilia Nackley Burton on Christmas Day in 2012.

Michael served his country as a United States Marine in the 1970s and was decorated with a National Defense Service Medal and Rifle Marksmanship Badge. Michael had a long fulfilling career as a computer technician, and operated his own small business in this field, for over 25 years. Michael was an extremely creative artist & musician as well as a longtime member of the Belmont Baptist Church, all while he devoted himself to reading his bible on a daily basis, and had a passion for photography - that he shared with his son, Shawn, and was an accomplished martial artist & fitness enthusiast, who took care of himself.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years, Libby Burton; his son, Michael Shawn Burton; his brother, Mark Elliot Burton; his sister, Joyce Burton Womack, and her husband Chap; and his mother, Ethel Letitia Burton (West).
