Melissa Anne Fox

Melissa Anne French Fox, age 55, passed away on August 15, 2023 in Plano,Texas. She was born on October 14, 1967 in Dallas,Texas to Milton French and Marilyn French. Melissa grew up in Oak Cliff where she graduated from Kimball High School in 1986. She became captain of the drill team and graduated 8th in her class. After graduating she attended Eastfield Community College and York University before graduating from UTD with a BA in business. Melissa married Robert Fox in 1995, who she had met at Eastfield, and they had one son.

She worked as a teller and then a teller manager through college. Shortly after, she moved into Internal Audit where she investigated fraud cases, but spent most of her career as a Financial Controller in the business. Due to several buyouts, her unit worked for many companies such as Nations Bank, Bank of America, Ameresco, Wachovia and finally Wells Fargo.

Melissa loved being active and engaged in her church, first at Lake Pointe Church where she was baptized and later at Prestonwood Baptist Church. She will best be remembered as a willing and engaging friend.

She is preceded in death by her father Milton French. Left to cherish her memory is her only son, Brady Fox; mother, Marilyn French; brothers, Michael and Matthew French and former husband Robert Fox.

A visitation for Melissa will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 25, 2023 at 10:00am with burial to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
