Mary Louise Harris was born March 2, 1923 in Dallas, TX to parents Oscar and Willie Mae Luttrell. She passed away January 5, 2015 in Garland, TX. Mary attended Woodrow Wilson High School and was a lifetime member of the East Grand Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family, friends, and grandsons Mark and Chris Simms, Alek and Tanner Jackson, and granddaughters Calah and Mallory Jackson. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Melvin Harris, daughter Mary Ann Hopp, grandchildren Paul and Robbianne Jackson; brother Oscar D. Luttrell and wife Jean, and many, nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson Matthew Simms, and sisters Anita Wilson and Ann Pugh. Visitation will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 from 6-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 10am with interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
