Mary Agnes Combs was born May 25, 1939, to the union of Phillip and Mona Corey in Patton, Maine. She moved to Dallas, TX in 1961. Mary entered into the arms of our Lord and Savior on June 21st 2022 at 83 years old.
Mary was raised into a military family where her father, three brothers, as well as her sister Karen served our country. In 2002, after 15 years of employment, she retired from A.A.F.E.S., which serves for the military. She loved her job. After retirement she went on to enjoy crocheting, telling stories of her childhood and you could always find her at the computer doing jigsaw puzzles or watching YouTube videos. Mary loved all kinds of music, especially her country music. She liked food, especially being able to cook or bake for others. She loved her family fiercely and enjoyed camping, karaoke, dancing, holiday parties, among many other things with them. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make you laugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Mona Corey, the love of her life husband George Combs as well as her brothers Phillip and Michael Corey and sisters Judith Price and Karen Corey-Steele, her sons Eugene Combs and Chris Combs, daughter Mary Ann and great-grandson Landon Schuchman.
Mary was the matriarch of the family and leaves to cherish her memory: her oldest son Robert and wife Teresa of Mansfield TX, daughters Angela Stewart of Crowley TX, Carrie and husband Bruce of Denton TX, daughter in law Debbie Combs of Stillwater OK. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Tim Collins and wife Christina, Brandi Combs, Melissa and husband Paul Schuchman, Susan Adkins and husband Sean, Eddie Stewart and wife Amanda, Robert Combs and wife Kristi, Bryan Stewart, Zak Stewart and wife Lacie, Michael Stewart and wife KD, Michael Selke, and Lilly Combs-Ducharme and 27 great grandchildren, brother Garth Corey and many nieces and nephews. She was loved by her family and they will miss her dearly.
