I met Mary about 20 years ago through my cousin. Since the first day I met Mary, we always got along great. Our kids were teenagers when I met her and as all kids do, they grew up one by one until they moved out of the house. In 2013, Mary and I started doing a lot more things on the weekends. Friday after work we would always go out to dinner. I always worked on Saturdays, but Sundays we would go to church and then have lunch. Mary would always say “Blanca, let's go window shopping.” We both shared birthdays in the same month. Mine was on the 21st and Mary’s was on the 15th. Naturally, I would always treat her for her birthday and she would always treat me on mine. 

Mary was a very kind person, she had the biggest heart, she was a wonderful listener, and would always know what to say to me. I could go on and on about all the wonderful things about Mary.

Comadre, I’m going to miss you very much! Especially on our birthday. I will bever forget you! You are what my sister Sandra said, “ A Warrior.” You put up a GREAT fight!

Mary would always say to me “‘Don’t let the Oak Cliff come out of me.” 🙂

We will miss you! Mary, you can finally rest in peace Comadre! Love you always!

My condolences to Mark Amador and your entire family … I didn’t know your mom very well but the few times I met her she was a very beautiful person inside and out .. I pray the Lord give you all strength , peace and comfort . 🙏🏻♥️

Mary and I attended the same high school - BMC.  I was a year older.  After my graduation in 1983, I no longer had contact with her.  But destiny had a different plan for us.  Years later, Mary and I met again at my aunt's home, where we were having a family gathering.  I was surprised and happy to see her again.  

Soon after this gathering, my sister Blanca Estela also became friends with Mary.  As a matter of fact, they became very good friends.  And so it was through my sister that I no longer lost contact of Mary.  I had the opportunity to really get to know her, in fact we soon became comadres! That was her term of endearment.  

Mary always went out of her way to help others; she was there for my family in many occasions, whether it was a joyful or sorrowful gathering.  Even if Mary was feeling at her worst, she was there to support us.  

This past December I had the opportunity to visit Mary at the hospital.  We talked nonstop for around four hours.  We had so much in common so it was very easy to strike from one conversation to the other.  The nurse made her rounds a couple of times while I was there.  The nurse was surprised I was still there.  Mary quickly told the nurse that I was her cousin.  That is who Mary was, she quickly made you part of her family.  

I believe God placed me at the hospital that day so I could get to know Mary even better.  I will always remember her big, bright eyes, beautiful smile, and her kind heart.   In my eyes, Mary was a warrior and fought her fight until the end!  We will miss you. Rest in peace and may GOD have you in his GLORY comadre!

Mary was always so sweet and kind to me. I think I was 11 or 12 when I first met her. She always loved on and treated me like her own niece. She showed up for my family in very difficult times. She will be greatly missed! Love you Tia Mary. Rest in Paradise.

I'm  Michael Johnson a co-worker of Mary. I first met Mary when i first began working with her at Strasburger and Price. She showed me around the floor that she and i worked on and introduced me to people that i still have contact with today. I missed her bright smile and big bright eyes that i used to tease her about when she left the firm. She  left the firm and moved out of  the state for some years and returned to everyone's delight to work with us again.
I will and have missed Mary dearly. May God bless her and her family.

I am at a loss.  So heartbreaking.  She was so young and we had only gotten back in touch through social media a few years ago.   But I first met her in the 80s.  We had such good times together and yes she had the most amazing smile and heart.  I caught up with her again in the 90s when I moved back to Texas.  And then life happened and lost touch thru the years again.  But she kept coming back into my life.  I am so sad that she is no longer here. She seemed so full of love, you could see it in her eyes in her photos.  And that smile!! That beautiful smile!!  I will always remember the good times we had.  I still quote some of the silly things you used to tell me when we first met.    I will miss not getting a chance to get together in person before you left.  You were one of a kind!  Rest In Peace.  God bless your sons and family for they have lost a beautiful soul.

Where to start.. first met Mary in High school. She left Sunset HS  to come to BMC. We became fast friends, as anyone knows , thats the kinda personality she had.. very infectious. Id go on to spend the night a couple times and when I was driving up she would be running down the block in her white shorts or undies ( not sure what they are called) Bisonnette under garments being her  silly self.
I say that to say.. She loved life.. always smiling and living her Best Life.
Im sure she had her not so Happy moments/days but you couldnt tell.
You will be missed Mary but know you were genuinely a Wonderful person.. RIP

Comadre!!!  It's still hard to believe that you are no longer with us.  The news of your passing hit me like a ton of bricks, because I just couldn't believe it.  How could a beautiful soul be taken away from us so soon.  I remember the years you worked with us at Jones Day, you would walk around greeting EVERYONE with your infectious smile!  Your kindness and thoughtfulness are what made you, you!  You were always willing to help anyone in any way you could.  We lost touch these past few years, but every-now-and-then you would run through my mind, and that would put a smile on my face.  I will pray for your soul, your boys, and all your family.  I know no words will be able to comfort your loved ones at this moment, so I will make sure to pray to give them the strength to endure this pain.  I’m so glad they have all the wonderful memories you made for them.  That gives me comfort knowing that your grandbabies will know who you were.  A Great Comadre!  Love you!

My name is Javi Valdez.  I used to work with Mary at Strasburger & Price in the early 90's and she was a blessing to be around.  She was a receptionist at that time and I was a mail clerk.  She was full of life.  She lit up every and any place with her mere presence and smile.  She was a force to be reckon with too.  She brought so much joy and laughter at the office.  She will be greatly missed indeed.  Our condolences to the Amador family.  Blessings always.
