Mrs. King was like my second mother. She was my piano teacher for 8 years, and I grew up with her daughters, Tracy & Stacy. She taught me much more than how to play the piano, however; she also taught me many important and indelible lessons about life, and I will be forever grateful to her. I will also remember her as a remarkably kind, understanding, patient, challenging, inspiring, and loving person; a teacher and mentor whose students meant the world to her, and for whom she had extraordinarily high expectations. I am truly blessed to have been touched by her life. Peace to her, and to her family.

Mrs. King was my neighbor for a year in North Dallas on Summerhill Lane, im truly sorry that God has called her home. Even though I had moved to Michigan I still use to call her at least once if not twice a year to check on her:-) Im so sorry that I didnt call her at all in 2013:-( God has got himself a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and musician, Miss u Mrs. King!!!!!!

Dear cousins and family,
Aunt Marie was always my favorite aunt because she made me feel special and she talked to me like I was important to her.  She was special to me also, because as my Godmother, I always felt we were connected by more than just sharing the name "Marie".  Some of my favorite memories were her visits with you children at Grandma/Grandpa Pausch's house where we sat under the tulip tree and talked and ran and played. Our trips to Branson were such fun because Aunt Marie had good ideas of fun things we could all do together.  She always found time to talk to me alone, as a child and as an adult.  I remember when she flew me to Dallas from college and we enjoyed conversations about life and where my future should be going. Aunt Marie gave me direction and encouragement to continue into teaching. 
I could go on and one, but most importantly, she helped make me who I am and she is forever a part of me and in my heart.  
I will miss her greatly, but I know she is still with me, forever in my heart.

Dear King Family - I have been a friend of Marie's in Richardson Music Teachers for many years and have been privileged to serve on many committees with her.  She had a high standard of excellence in everything she did, which is one of the qualities that made her such a great piano teacher! I saw Marie's strength in her faith when Don died, and know she was assured of her eternal destiny. And I rejoice in all of her spirit and beauty that is left here in her students - she will live on in their minds and souls and they will pass the love of music, the discipline, and the joy of accomplishment on to their children. Marie's was a life well lived and I was honored to be a small part of it.

We were blessed to have shared each other's daughter and son and two beautiful grandchildren. We always looked forward to visiting with Marie on our trips to Texas and hers to Ohio over the past 26 years. Marie was such a thoughtful, caring person (she never missed sending a greeting card on special days or holidays - we will miss those cards with her special notes.  

Marie was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and a special friend.  We will miss her greatly.

Dear Stacy, Tracy, Richard and family,
I took piano lessons from your mom for about 12 years, and she had such a wonderful influence on me – not just in music but in other aspects of life.  I loved her so much and thought of her more as a blood-relative than simply my piano teacher.  She was so proud of you and your children (and excited to have a great-grandchild!), and with good reason.  Every time I saw her, she had pictures and stories to share about you and them.  I will miss her deeply and will be praying for God's comfort for each of you.

Dear Stacy, Tracy and the entire King family,

We were stunned to hear of Mrs. King's sudden passing.  She was the kindest person we've ever met.  In addition to teaching Bridget and Caitlyn piano during the past 9 years, she had also taught them to be moral and righteous.  A part of Mrs. King will forever be with our 2 daughters.  And for that, we are grateful to have known her.  May God bless her soul and provide much comfort to you and yours during this difficult time.

Marie was one-of-a kind; she was passionate yet reasonable in her goals for each of her students, and always available to teach life skills as well as musical skills.  She invested her life in my family.  She cannot be replaced, but she can be celebrated.  Well done, Mrs. King!  You lived strong and finished strong.  My life, and the lives of my three sons have been greatly enriched by your investment in us.

I just learned of your mother's passing and wanted to pass on my deepest sympathies.  I still remember my first piano lesson with Mrs. King back when I was in 3rd grade (rougly 36 years ago)- and her teachings and mentorship carried me thru my piano recital my senior year in college and beyond.  She has been and always will be one of the most influential people in my life - both musically and personally.  She definitely will be missed...but never forgotten.
