Marian Rich

Marian was born January 5, 1918, to Ed and Johnetta Wilkerson in Dallas.

She was a graduate of Highland Park High School and attended SMU where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. After the early death of her father, Marian entered the workplace and was a dedicated employee of General Motors Credit Department. Marian lived in Dallas until her husband A. Bryan Rich, was transferred to Waco as manager of GMAC in June 1965.

Marian enjoyed being a volunteer at the Information Desk at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center for over 35 years. She was recognized and honored for serving more than 6,500 hours in service to the hospital. Marian was a skilled and creative needle-pointer. She was a warm and fun loving woman who treasured her family, her many friends, her beloved pets, and the Dallas Cowboys.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Evelyn Munsell; brother, Ed Wilkerson, Jr.; and nephew, T.D. Dickey, Jr.

Survivors include her nephews: Donald W. Munsell and wife, Bobbie, and Roland Dickey and wife, Maurine; nieces: Martha Dickey and Elizabeth Mills and husband Bob; and many great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hillcrest Medical Center Auxiliary, 3000 Herring, Waco, Texas 76708.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, January 27, 2012, at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas.
