Louise was born on August 23, 1955, the surprise twin sister of Grace Flusche. They were born to Ismael and Elia Melgoza. Louise passed away September 5, 2022, after a yearlong battle with gallbladder cancer.
Louise grew up in North Dallas, attending Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and Ursuline Academy, class of 1974. Louise’s career was in retail sales and administration. She was with Oshman’s Sporting Goods for over 30 years and then Home Depot for 15. She made many friends among the associates and customers over the years. She retired in 2020, moving to McKinney, Texas, with her sister and family.
Louise is pre-deceased by her mother, Elia Kingston, her Father, Ismael R. Melgoza, her Aunt Grace Diaz and Uncle Angel Diaz, her Uncle Henry Martinez, her Aunt Rosita Fuentes, and her Uncles Trini Lopez and Jesse Lopez.
Louise is survived by her twin sister, Grace Flusche (Mike), her brother Ismael Melgoza and brother Gerald Melgoza (Lisa). Her niece Stefanie Constanzo (Daniel) and nephew, Michael Flusche Jr. (Erin). Her grandniece Avery Flusche and grandnephews Reid Flusche and Micah Constanzo. Her Aunt Lucy Martinez and 10 Lopez family cousins. She is also survived by many dear friends.
A visitation for Maria will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM, Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX ,75225. A Funeral Mass will occur Friday, September 9, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 3900 Rowlett Road, Rowlett, TX, 75088, Fr. Don Zieler celebrant. A Committal Service will occur Friday, September 9, 2022, at Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum, 3900 Rowlett Road, Rowlett, TX 75088.
