Margaret Brady McKenney

Margaret Brady McKenney, age 70, passed away suddenly on May 19, 2023 in Plano, Texas surrounded by family. She was born on January 13, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland to John E McKenney and Mary B McKenney.

She attended Mount St. Agnes Lower School and in 1971 graduated from Mercy High School. In 1975, she graduated cum laude from Maryland Institute of Art with a fine arts degree in interior design.

Margaret had an extensive career in interior design starting at Custom Furnishings followed by Richard Polan Associates in Baltimore, Maryland. After coming to Dallas, she was a sales associate at Goodfellow Fine Furniture and lately worked at Dillard’s Department Store. She was a member of American Society of Interior Designers for 40 years.

She is survived by sister, Jane M. Huston of Dallas, Texas; brother, John E. McKenney, Jr of Prince Frederick, Maryland, nieces Angela O’Brien, Lindsay Hambright and Laura Huston of Dallas, Texas and niece Lisa McKenney of Havre de Grace, Maryland and a good friend, Paul Huffman of Plano, Texas.

She will always be remembered as a devoted sister and aunt to her family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel.
