Margaret Jean Kavanaugh

Margaret Jean (Golden) Kavanaugh born July 28, 1930, near Trenton, Texas and passed away peacefully in her home on July 20, 2019, at the age of 88, and is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-seven years, Cecil Legene Kavanaugh, her parents, Cone and Lola Golden, her brothers, B. R. Golden and Cone J. Golden, and her sister, Freida Harbers. She is survived by her son, Keith Kavanaugh and wife, Helen, and daughter, Kay Wyner and husband, J.D. as well as her grandchildren, James David Wyner, Jonathan Kavanaugh, Danielle Everitt and husband, Scott Everitt, and Jessica Newman and husband, Luke Newman, and her great grandchildren, Morgan Wyner, Grayson Everitt, and Gunner Everitt. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Pyke, Betty Arwine, and Carol Nevill and her brothers, Bobby Golden, Bryan Golden, and John Golden and their spouses and families. She was a graduate of Sunset High School in Dallas and was a lifelong member of her church.

Her service will be held at the graveside on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations made to Eastridge Baptist Church, Red Oak, Texas.
