Poem from Act of Valor

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. 
Trouble no one about their religion: respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.
Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none. 
When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision. 
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. 
Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. 

Manuel lived his life courageously. He loved his family so deeply and was so kind. He was his mother's protector and never left her side as well as his sisters. I'm blessed to have known him and spend the time I did with him. 

Manuel was indeed a angel 😇 on earth. We all have so many memories of him, but this one was my favorite. It was Christian's (Cici's) 4th birthday party at my parents house. We had a pinata and there was a kid that had finished hitting it. Manuel takes the stick away from kid and starts to  play and pretend to be like Bruce Lee as he tries to hit the pinata. He had the biggest smile on his face and had all of us laughing. Someone eventually had to take the stick away from him...

One of my greatest memories of my uncle was him entertaining us and just having an infectious laugh that would spread to everyone.  One time in particular, the entire family was at our grandma's house on Marvin. The family from Corpus was in town and we all gathered in the small living room to watch one of Garth Brooks' live concert tapes. My Uncle Manuel was front row and center singing and playing long. He brought us together as a family and there was never a bad time we had with him. He was so loving and kind and possessed an unconditional love that only God's Angels could have. He was a true blessing to our family and our hearts are broken but we know he is safe in his parent's arms and God's loving arms. Let us all remember his great laugh, the cowboy hats, boots and buckles, guitar and his love for all of us.

I have several memories of him but there is one that stands out. He had come down for a visit and had come into my room and saw my neck ties. There was one in particular that caught his attention. When he came out of the room he had it on.   Another one was we had gone to Jaime and Lucy’s wedding anniversary and he wanted to go with them on their honeymoon. He was told he couldn’t but he would say he had married Lucy. Memories like that will always live on. We love you and will miss you!!!            

Manuel, where do I begin. I cannot find the words to express how much he has meant to me and all his family. He is just beyond words or feelings. 
I bet anyone who has been around or met Manuel, who is present here today, if you close your eyes and remember him, I'm sure you will have a story to tell about him. He was kind, thoughtful, respectful, funny, happy, full of life and never met a stranger. 
He had no limits in being himself and doing things his way. He was the "King" as Elvis was the King of Rock & Roll. He pretended to be Bruce Lee, so he taught HIMSELF karate moves. He imitated John Travolta's dance moves and would slide across any dance floor when he wanted to perform. He loved country music, so he pretended to be Garth Brooks and put on his cowboy hat and boots and played his guitar and sang his music. 
I used to kid with Manuel and I would ask him, "Manuel I want to know your secret. You do not have a job YET, you always have money, you eat well, have nice clothes and take a vacation every year. " And he would just look at me and smile. So, yes he did things his way. 
My dad taught us the importance of Family, my mother taught us the importance of Faith, an Manuel taught us the meaning of Love. 
To all of my Brothers and Sisters and all of Manuel's family, Please remember this: It has been a blessing and a privilege to have been given the Honor of Caring and Loving an Angel of God! 

Eulogy for my Brother Manuel Mora 
Thank you all for coming out today to honor and celebrate the life and my brother Manuel Mora. 
I’m Juan Jose (mostly known by my family by my nick name, Boy). I am one of 7 brothers to Manuel. I want to start by thanking our God and his only begotten son, our Savior Jesus Christ for giving us this day to come together as brothers, sisters, cousins, family, friends and loved ones to acknowledge the gift of joy that my brother’s life has brought to so many of us. 
I promise to be short and give the opportunity to others gathered here today to others to share their stories and experiences with my brother, for I know he has touched every one of us here today in some sort of special way. I have quite a few memories of my brother Manuel but one that will forever be vivid in my memory are the laughter’s he has brought to our family. Mom would sit and laugh with tears rolling down her face with some of his facial expressions and fits when letting us know he was upset, especially at the breakfast table. Everything had to be in order with his breakfast request, scabble eggs, potatoes, ham or sausage, Hot Picante Sauce, tortillas but preferred white bread, and little coffee. He loved mom’s cooking and loved eating. I have one memory that my wife Joy can probably paint a better picture or image then me. One morning day that he had spent with us at our home.in Keller, Joy had to go drop off the kids at school. Most of the time she would leave Manuel sleeping if he was still in bed. This specific morning day, when she returned and walked into the house, she was met by an unhappy camper, Breakfast was not ready. He took it upon himself to stage his eggs and all the condiments on the kitchen island. He was letting Joy know it was past his breakfast time. I got on him to be patient and breakfast would be served when it was ready.
